Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
The philosophy of the WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd Directors and Managers is to give back to the Community in an unheralded yet meaningful way.
This commitment is strong at WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd - with the establishment in 2012 of a Community and Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee at Management level to bring together the large pool of strategic and technical skills within the Firm and the determination of WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd to help those who need it most. Guiding principles established by the committee help to harness WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd’s strength and size by collectively giving to fewer initiatives - but making more of an impact.
Casual Clothes Day Gold Coin Donation
All WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd Employees are entitled to wear Casual Clothes every Friday. As part of this entitlement all WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd Employees shall make a Gold Coin Donation which shall be donated on either a six monthly or annual basis to the nominated Charity as determined by WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd Employees and the CSR Committee.
All WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd Christmas Cards shall be purchased from the Salvation Army with proceeds assisting the various Community Needs supported by the Salvation Army.
A percentage of the Christmas Card purchase a percentage of the proceeds shall also be donated to a nominated Charity supported by the Salvation Army ie. Royal Melbourne Children’s Hospital.
The WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd CSR Committee shall review the Social and Community aspects in reference to need in an ongoing manner and liaise with WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd Employees in reference to making cash donations ie. Victoria Bushfires with the Partners of WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd being committed matching dollar for dollar all cash donations raised.
Staff Care Committee
WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd is committed to the support - development and well-being of the Firm’s greatest asset - Employees.
In support of this commitment, an initiative has been undertaken whereby a Staff Care Committee has been formalised.
The purpose of the Staff Care Committee is to allow all Employees of WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd to meet in an Informal manner without Partner presence - and openly express any issues - ideas or improvements for the Employees of WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd.
Issues and concepts raised at the Staff Care Committee are noted by the Practice Manager and where appropriate consideration and application is undertaken and actioned as appropriate.
WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd shall fund CPA/CAANZ Course Fees as long as certain conditions are met. Upon attainment of CPA/CAANZ, it is recognised this is an outstanding achievement with a Graduation Gift provided.
At WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd - all Team Members are eligible to participate in the Employer Bonus Scheme.
WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd has a strong commitment to the development of its Team Members and integrity in its business practices.
WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd is committed to providing Team Members with Training and Development that is relevant to Team Member work needs and encourages Team Members to explore better work practices.
WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd will provide Team Members adequate training to do their job safely and competently. WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd believes training is a two-way process. WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd encourage Team Members to participate and to highlight any gaps in their own skills or knowledge they believe they possess.
Training includes Internal On-The-Job Training - Weekly CPE Training - Monthly Tax Barrister Training - written instructions such as Procedures and Worksheets - Coaching - External Training and Courses - plus ongoing support from the Senior Management Team.

Flexible Working Arrangements
Employees may request flexible working arrangements based on Parental and Carer responsibilities. Employees are required to put the request in writing.

The WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd Performance Dialogue will address the Standard of Performance expected of the Employee and an Assessment of the Employees Performance against that standard and the short and long term goals and objectives to be achieved by the Employee.
The purpose of Performance Dialogue is to appraise and where appropriate improve Performance. It is an ongoing Process. It should include Informal and Formal Reviews. WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd encourage a two-way process - that is - Employees can also provide Management feedback on Performance.
All Employees will undergo a Formal Performance Dialogue with the Practice Manager and Representative Partner at least Two (2) times a year.
Employee Referral Scheme
Upon recruitment of a Team Member at WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd - there is the opportunity to refer Friends or Associates for the Vacant Position. If a referred Full Time Candidate is successful in securing the advertised position - the referring Team Member will be eligible to receive a significant bonus subject to Director approval.
Occupational Health & Safety
WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd will, as far as practicable - provide a safe work environment and effective ergonomics for the health, safety and welfare of our Employees - contractors - visitors and members of the public who may be affected by our work - striving to ensure ‘Duty of Care’ and encouragement of well being.
Environmental Best Practice
WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd will comply with all Local, State and Federal Laws and Regulations on:
Disposing of hazardous waste (including EPA’s list of prescribed industrial waste) - trade waste (i.e. waste added to the sewer) and waste water
Safe handling, storage and transport of hazardous waste and dangerous goods
Air Pollution and Carbon Emissions
Every year WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd arranges for all Team Members to have Influenza Vaccinations at no cost. This is not a Compulsory Service.
WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd celebrate End of Financial Year with a Dinner or Lunch for all Team Members.
WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd also celebrate the Festive Season with an End of Year Function for all Team Members.
Team Lunches and Monthly Beer and Pizza are also arranged with a rotational Menu as agreed by the Staff Care Committee.
A Team Members Birthday is celebrated with dietary choice of food.
WGC Business Advisors Pty Ltd currently utilises print management software ‘Paper Cut’ to be socially and environmentally responsible.
Through doing this WGC attempts where possible to monitor and eliminate paper wastage and undertake our current processes by way of an electronic medium - therefore providing a positive and proactive approach in helping to preserve the modern environment.
